Outdoor learning is about connecting children with nature, helping to instill an interest, love and lifelong respect for the natural world. Through outdoor learning children are inspired to achieve by approaching English and Maths in a whole new way! Whether telling stories through journey sticks, developing writing through a nature journal or using measurement to calculate the height of a tree, fun learning is guaranteed! Pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop self-esteem, team building and friendship skills. From building dens to cooking their own meals over a camp fire, pupils gain confidence, independence and resilience in a safe and secure environment.
I will be recording all of my Forest School sessions through diary entries, photographs and video footage. Stay updated and follow the blog using the link at the bottom of this page. For more information please read the Useful Information page.
