Mexican Weaving

At last we have some lovely, sunny weather which Year 5F were able to enjoy this week in Forest School.

This week the children learnt how to Mexican weave. The children tied two sticks together to make a cross and then used coloured wool to weave in and out. It took a lot of patience and perseverance at first but once they had a rhythm they were able to create some really beautiful patterns. Some children also weaved in flowers as a finishing touch.
