Lessons from Clownfish (Year 3D)

Great team work is needed in Forest School sessions. We try and fill our forest school sessions as much as possible and this includes answering the register with their favourite type of animal. This week, inspired by Blue Planet 2, the children answered with their favourite sea creature. It was good to see so many children learning from the nature programme which is shown on Sunday evenings.

I decided to show a clip from the programme of clownfish working together as a team to move a coconut shell. The children were completely inspired by the clownfish and one pupil said ‘If clownfish can work together as a team then so can we!’

This afternoon the children helped each other to move logs and branches in order to build their very first den. This encourages children to communicate, work as a team and help others.
