Leaf, berry and nut identification

IMG_7105IMG_7106Year 5 took part in a nature Identification lesson.

As Bear Grylls, for example, shows us it is possible to live in the wild but the correct identification of possible foods such as leaves, nuts and berries is essential for survival.

The children worked in small groups collecting as many difference leaves, berries and nuts as they could find. Once back inside, they used Identification guides to help them to identify each piece of nature.

The leaves were then pressed in order to preserve them. these will then be used to create a display later on.
